Different types of shaft collars and their use
Firstly, shaft collars are semi split fixed collars, which are connected with the shaft by friction, and the width of the collar groove is reduced by tightening the hexagon socket assembly screw. The shaft collar is available in aluminum, steel and stainless steel styles. The stainless steel collar can be equipped with damping washer or surface opening style, which is used to install fixed flange or other accessories
Secondly, shaft collars are full split fixed collars. The shaft collars can be installed on the shaft axially and radially, and the groove width of the collars can be reduced by tightening the hexagon socket assembly screws. Be sure to use two socket head cap screws for installation. ELESA + Ganter can be equipped with damping washer or surface opening style to install fixed flange or other accessories. The fully split fixed collar is also available in fiber reinforced polyamide, which is light and corrosion-resistant.
